    Regarding Russia/Georgia, the following link demonstrates the complexity of the situation, for which the US is in ways complicit.

    As for servicing down debt and raising savings: does it not all fall back on levels of income, namely, jobs. An increase in unemployment will have serious consequences. Attention needs to be given to job loss.
